🥣🥚 I’m not sure what was sweeter—seeing the excitement in our students’ eyes as they cracked an egg without a single shell making it into the bowl, or hearing their stories about how their great grandmother makes the best french toast with strawberries and whipped cream on the top.

These hands-on experiences in fifth grade are the kind of stories and memories that stick. This month’s cooking adventure: French Toast! 🥞

🎯 Mr. O’Connell’s Physical Education classes took on a brand-new game this week — KUBB! 🙌

Originating from Sweden, this exciting game challenges players to throw wooden dowels to knock over their opponents’ wooden cubes. Teams face off to see who can topple them all first. Our students had a blast giving it a try! 🇸🇪

👉 Fun Fact: Did you know the U.S. National Championships of KUBB are held right here in Eau Claire, Wisconsin every July?

While the students think they are ‘playing’ and doing a play-doh challenge, Mrs. P is having them work on their fine motor skills. Strong fingers and hands = strong writers!

They met for the first time as a full group and spent an hour playing together, getting used to the beautiful sound of all their instruments blending! 🎺🥁🎷

Can you believe these beginners started just a couple weeks ago? They've already made tremendous progress, learning how to properly assemble their instruments and mastering their first six notes! 🎵

They can’t wait to play again as a full group when school begins soon. Let’s give them a big round of applause for their hard work and enthusiasm! 👏

🥾☀️ The grand finale of the Adventure Awaits summer class did not disappoint!

They kicked off the day hiking through Interstate Park, soaking in river views and peeking into ancient potholes. Their next stop - the fish hatchery, where they got an up-close look at how trout are raised! 🐟 After that, hey explored the bold and creative world of Franconia Sculpture Park where there were so many unique pieces!

And of course… they couldn’t end the adventure without some well-deserved ice cream! 🍦😋

What an incredible journey it has been for these #CSDGoBeavers adventurers!

🚴‍♂️ 🛶 The adventures have begun for the Adventure Awaits summer school class!

On day one our #CSDGoBeavers students kicked off the week with an amazing ride, biking from Centria to St. Croix Falls, covering roughly 10 miles! But the adventure didn’t stop there! They headed out to Timberland Hills, where students added another 2-10 miles of exploration on the trails. 🌲

🌊 Day two kept the excitement going as they hit the St. Croix River for an unforgettable kayaking experience.

What a fantastic way to combine fitness, nature, and fun this summer! ☀️
