Cumberland Soccer Falls to Two of Leagues Best Teams
Solid squads from Hayward and Amery were too much for the Cumberland Boy’s Soccer Team last week as the Beavers dropped an 8-0 game to the Hurricanes and a 5-0 decision to Amery. The team looks for better outcomes this week, having played Barron on Tuesday and then taking on Ashland this Thursday in a 5:00 pm Parent and Youth Night contest in Endeavor Stadium.
“Hayward is a strong team with great technique and speed, while Amery is also a good solid squad,” said Head Coach Brent Sellent. He did praise Mason Capra, Austin and Carson Hornstein, and Quentin Radden for their work on defense in the Amery contest.
Next Tuesday, September 29, Cumberland heads to Washburn for a contest against the Castleguards.
